A concerted effort needs to be made by all rescuers, shelter, pound and animal welfare workers to info EVERY member of society about just how these things work.
I personally am posting all over the internet, where applicable, notices to encourage people to BOYCOTT — Craig’s List – Kijiji – Hoobly – Next Day Pets – Terrific Pets and any other site that I come across that pimps innocent little puppies and kittens for the sake of greed, while millions of shelter pets, 60% plus of which are PURE BREEDS, are being killed.
For EVERY pup that is spayed/neutered 10 less pups minimum have to be killed each year. Best stats that I have seen state that ONLY 5 out of 10 dogs that are thrown away at a shelter ever make it out. (Average stats indicate, it can be as low as 2 per 10).
